You can change your dates of travel prior to your departure date. This means that if you want to postpone your trip, you won't forfeit your travel insurance. If your trip cost is the same, there's no extra cost nor refund due you. Important: changing travel dates means you are not making any kind of claim for your original trip. Filing a claim prevents you from changing your dates.
You can't cancel or interrupt your trip if you don't feel safe. The only exception is a Cancel For Any Reason plan. Keep in mind that it's only "Cancel For Any Reason" and not "Interrupt For Any Reason".
Other than cancelling a trip with a Cancel For Any Reason plan, there's no coverage available if your leave is changed or you are reassigned because of military actions.
