Where Is The International Space Station?

I’m a space, sci-fi and science buff. I was born in 1957, so I grew up with space exploration in the news. Plus, I watched “Lost In Space”, “I Dream of Jeannie” and “Star Trek”. On top of that, I had an aunt & uncle who lived in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

I got a 3.5 inch refractor (lens, not mirror) telescope when I was 11 years old. I could see Jupiter’s main moons, the ice caps on Mars and the rings of Saturn, plus every other celestial object I could locate. I tried to see satellites but they moved too fast. And, living in Minnesota I’ve seen the Northern Lights more times that I can remember.

I even remember that our local news would announce what time and where you could look to see a satellite or spacecraft. Ever since, if I’m outside on a clear night I’ll always look up to see if I can see any meteors, satellites or spacecraft.
