Does Travel Insurance Cover Breakdowns Of A Personal Vehicle?

Do any of your policies have coverage for missing the departure because of the mechanical breakdown of a private automobile travelling to the airport? Thanks, Stephen

Unfortunately, no. Mechanical breakdown of a private automobile isn’t ever covered by travel insurance. Therefore, if you are driving to your departure point, I suggest you get there in plenty of time – ideally the day before your departure date.

You can go here to see what else is and isn’t covered, too.
